Danica has been doing Irish dance for about a year, but because our house was on the market, we decided against purchasing the school dress in Virginia, thinking we'd have to just buy another when we moved. Well, we moved in August of last year, so as soon as she learned the new dances (every school has their own variation of the traditional dances), she could compete. Well, she's ready now. Her first "feis" or competition was last Saturday, December 29, at the Pittsburgh Winter Feis. She exceeded expectations and is now moving up to the next level in both dances.

Now, ask your Dad if he can teach you the Filipino "tinikling".He also used to be light on his feet.
