Teodoros from Manila meet Teodoros of Virginia: a long-awaited Reunion

Last weekend, April 26, Jay & Fe drove us to Washington DC. Along with their kids, Wesley, Lorenzo, Gabriel & I travelled 12 hours to Hershey, Pennsylvania, spent the night with Kuya Dante and Ate Chit (Mesina) Velayo in Lewisburg, PA. The next morning was just 3 hours to Washington DC to meet Pres. Bush. It was such a lovely and sunny day that we are thankful for the good pictures we were able to take. That's the most important part of the trip --- THE PICTURES! They are what I really cry about when my computer bogs down! So SAVE YOUR PHOTOS! It's a treasure for every family. Anyway, back to our meeting with President Bush, we missed our appointment because we were to preoccupied with taking pictures. Maybe we can give him his chance next time.

The whole day was fun but tiring, thanks to Pablo3 for the suggestion to spend the night at Quality Inn in Virginia which was just 30 minutes away instead of going to a hotel in Washington DC. And it was cheaper too. We went back to DC to see the Air & Space Museum, but it was already cloudy. We were lucky the first day gave us perfect photos.

We drove to Nokesville in the afternoon taking directions from Pablo3 because for some reason I don't know, the GPS we had does not recognize the way to his farm. (You see, that's how private this reuniuon was--hidden from the sattelite).

When we finally reached the farm, all we could say was WOW! My little Gabriel always wanted to be in a farm. There were chickens, goats, dogs, turtles and a Llama! Our kids love animals. Abigail entertained the kids well while Sarah helped out in the kitchen. We also met Pablo4 and his wife Chelsea, Josh too. We all had a good bite of the pizza. Lynda prepared organic veggies on our salad. We love it! Thanks for the ice cream too. And so the rest of the evening was just enjoyable.Though there was little time left, we were able to show them the photos of the Reunion in Cabanatuan and the rest of Uncle Pablo Jr.'s trip to the Philippines. It was past 10pm already and even if we didn't want to leave yet, we can't keep them up the whole night. As Pablo3 had said, it was a blessing to be able to meet with family. I couldn't describe what I saw in Wesley's eyes ... he was really glad to meet a long-lost cousin. It was long-awaited and indeed a memorable experience for all of us.
