Danica's Second Irish Dance Feis and Logan's Scout training

We are in Chester, West Virginia for Danica's second Irish Dancing competition (a "Feis"), and she's pretty cool about it. I asked her if she gets nervous, and she just said that she just looks forward and doesn't pay any attention to anything else, "of course!" She thinks it's silly to get nervous! We are sitting in the bleachers waiting to begin right now.

Logan stayed over at a friend's house last night from Scouts, and will be taking a class to be a Den Chief for the Cub Scouts (under 6th grade), now that he's a big guy. I think it's cool that he's going to be coaching the little guys! :-) After the class, he's going to be in a special science class conducted by some local college students.

I will update this post with pictures and results after the competition tonight.

OK - Danica just finished her two dances and did very well. Her categories had over 20 kids, though, which is HUGE! We're waiting for results. More later...

Update:

Danica did a great job, and wasn't nervous at all, as usual. She danced the Jig and the Reel.

Danica finished with a bronze (3rd placed)

Logan had a great time at the Boy Scout Den Chief training, and is now ready to guide the younger boys in a neighboring Cub Scout den as part of his Boy Scout leadership training. He also got to spend several hours at that science seminar and learned about DNA. Exciting, I think... :-)

Logan proudly shows off his DNA (see the necklace). Nice. Also notice the T-shirt?
